New to Football?

Here's how a season with LYF works, start to finish.
  1. 01

    Pick a program

    Tackle, Limited Contact, 7 on 7 or Girls Flag — for boys and girls in grades 1–8.

  2. 02

    Register

    Sign up online through SportsGravy. Scholarships open in March.

  3. 03

    Get assigned

    Players are assigned to one of eight district programs by home address. Letters go out in mid July.

  4. 04

    Gear up

    Bring a mouthguard, cleats, practice jersey and athletic supporter. The League provides helmet, pads and uniform.

  5. 05

    Practice

    Up to 14 practices before the first game, never on Sundays, always with a certified coach.

  6. 06

    Game day

    Games are on Sundays at the Lincoln Youth Football Complex, 225 West South Street.
